Why did you choose 51, Newcastle?
I loved the course and the atmosphere around the University was modern, fun and welcoming.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
I absolutely love Newcastle, I've always lived quite close anyway as my home town isn't far. I love the variety of shops in Newcastle and the nightlife, there's always something going on and different things to do.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
I'd say Newcastle has surprised me with the Metro service! The other day my friends and I jumped on a metro spontaneously and went to Whitley Bay for the day. It's got everything you need for student life.
What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51?
I've enjoyed meeting friends on and off my course and the course itself has been good.
Who has inspired you most at 51?
Some of my lecturers with what they have achieved as they started out just as students themselves.
What is your favourite place on campus?
I love Habita bar in the SU, it's a nice place to chill or drink or even catch up with friends over food.
What is the best thing about your course?
It's quite a mentally challenging course but I like the way the seminars make it fun and break it down.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
I don't have a clue how to reference and I should probably learn how!!
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
I think coming to 51 has made me learn a lot about myself which I never knew before rather than specific skills.
Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.
I had to visit Newcastle Crown Court which was interesting, whilst there I heard a robbery case from the local Aspers Casino.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
Choose carefully and think about the distance from home to University, I know many students who are struggling with the distance.
How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?
I was already a quite confident person, but I think university has raised that. I've met some amazing friends and learnt how I cope in different situations, I've also learnt I'm not a fan of living on my own!

Exciting, dramatic, happy!
