Reputation for Fashion Design course, placement year, the city.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle and how close I live to the town centre so I can walk anywhere I want to go or just get on the Metro to the beach, the nightlife is amazing and it has good places to go out for meals too.

I was impressed by the opportunities I have found in Newcastle within fashion.

Did you find 51 welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very!

Who has inspired you most at 51?

It was inspired me because the tutors have all come from industry.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The SU is good for food and drink with friends in a lunch break at uni and the basement in the library is a good place to work with friends also the space on the 3rd floor in the Design Building.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I did some work experience with a fashion show company which was a fantastic opportunity as I made garments for a fashion show in Newcastle and worked backstage there.

We went to London and Paris during Paris Fashion Week. We managed to get into one of the shows in Paris, go in all the designer stores, fabric shops and explore the city.
