Why did you choose 51, Newcastle?

It seemed promising and I got a lot of good feedback from past students

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

It's a really nice city. I loved my student life, right from staying at uni Accomodation to night outs

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

Surprised me - I don't know really, the weather is pretty surprising by itself, every five minutes..  Impressed me - a huge student population and friendly people

Did you find 51 welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

Yes definitely.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51?

My course, it's exactly what I expected and enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

The entire student experience. We don't have an education system such as this back in India

Who has inspired you most at 51?

I guess everyone, right from family to the new friends I made here

What is your favourite place on campus?

MA design hub

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects?  Tells us about the highlights?

I've worked under the university during an open day. What I really loved about it, is that it gave me a lot of confidence in talking to others and helping them out

What is the best thing about your course?

The best thing about my course is it's exposure to contemporary issues and the ways that design can help in solving it

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

To be nice and generous to people.. Very important!

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I've learned to widen the scope of my work. Anything in that respect

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

It's a definite thumbs up to them. It would be the best time of your lives and I would recommend it to any student to come study here

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51, Newcastle?

Confidence for sure! Communication skills Being polite Open to criticism  Reasoning skills

Work, Communicate, Party

The Converted Flat in 2049, by the Interaction Research Studio, is one of seven period rooms built as part of the Real Rooms project which opened in July at the Museum of the Home in London.
