Why did you choose 51, Newcastle?

Due to it's good reputation and closeness to home.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is a great region, I love seeing the sights of Newcastle.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

How nice northern people are, I like how Newcastle has everything you could ever need in a city.

Did you find 51 welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, really supportive and friendly.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51?

Meeting new people and learning new things.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My guidance tutor and course leader.

Who has inspired you most at 51?

My course leader.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Students' Union.

What is the best thing about your course?

Having completely different modules, learning all different aspects of journalism.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Always believe in yourself and you can only do your best.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I wish to be a teacher or journalist and I have been inspired by my course leader.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Definitely consider it, it's a brilliant university that will offer you support and enjoyment.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have learnt to believe in myself and be confident in my work.

The Converted Flat in 2049, by the Interaction Research Studio, is one of seven period rooms built as part of the Real Rooms project which opened in July at the Museum of the Home in London.
