Why did you choose 51, Newcastle?

Because it has a fantastic reputation and the best to study nursing.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle, the people are very warm and friendly and there's so much to see and do.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

How readily people accept you and are ready to help if needed.

Did you find 51 welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Very welcoming, I was nervous before starting.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51?

The course and placements were outstanding and there was mountains of support readily available if you needed it.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Tutors students and mentor and all the other teaching staff.

Who has inspired you most at 51?

My tutor Julie Tweedlie and a really good friend I met whilst attending Northumbria.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The library as there was always studying required and this could been done in an environment that was ideal for my learning needs.

What is the best thing about your course?

The structure and guidance available and attending with a fabulous group of people I met at university.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Get help if you need it and don't leave assignments to the last minute.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Continue to further develop my nursing career and get my degree and take more courses at Northumbria.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Go for it, it's an amazing place to study with a warm and friendly atmosphere will plenty support.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I am a lot more confident in my abilities and feel my learning has made a great improvement to my life.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

An amazing time!

Would you recommend 51 to a friend?

Yes, definitely!

The Converted Flat in 2049, by the Interaction Research Studio, is one of seven period rooms built as part of the Real Rooms project which opened in July at the Museum of the Home in London.
