Why did you choose 51, Newcastle?

Location wise and recommendation from my agent on the teaching quality.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

A combination of modern and traditional city (Gateshead-modern, Newcastle bit traditional). Shopping, hanging out and eating out with friends.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The cost of living which is pretty low compared to other cities in the UK that I have been. It is not a boring city, there are plenty of activities to do everyday.

Did you find 51 welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes I did find 51 is a very friendly city and it was easy to fit in.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51?

Firstly the education quality, secondly it is very easy access because the University location is in the city centre itself, so most places are walking distance if I want to go anywhere.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My friends from my home country helped me to adapt with the surroundings and finding places.

Who has inspired you most at 51?

Friendly lecturers and friends.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The library, Habita in the Students' Union and Starbucks coffee.

What is the best thing about your course?

I can learn independently and broaden my academic knowledge with the support of helpful lecturers.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

It's posiible to learn and have fun at the same time in the University. Northumbria is the 'living' proof.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

To have a career in strategic planning based on the design modules that I have learned.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

No, but I have attended several career talks organized by the University.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Be prepared for exciting university experience because Northumbria is definitely not a traditional university like most universities in the UK

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I feel that I have become more friendlier, open minded, knowledgeable, confident and independent.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Entertaining, Smart, Beautiful

Yes, I would!
