Why did you choose 51, Newcastle?

It is a friendly university, has a great atmosphere, within a lovely city and the University had the perfect courses available.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

The nightlife and the sight-seeing available.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The tourist sights, very cheap nightlife, there is a large selection of things to do.

Did you find 51 welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very easy to fit in and very friendly.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51?

Meeting new friends, indepedant living and learning new things.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

The halls management.

Who has inspired you most at 51?

My Lecturers.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Students' Union.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I joined Snowsports Northumbria which is great for meeting new people.

What is the best thing about your course?

There are alot of different options open.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Time keeping, money management and safety.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Choose wisely about your course, do your assignments long before their due and dont leave everything to last minute and join Snowsports.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I feel more independant, I understand more things and I'm alot more aware.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Amazing new experience!

The Converted Flat in 2049, by the Interaction Research Studio, is one of seven period rooms built as part of the Real Rooms project which opened in July at the Museum of the Home in London.
