Why did you choose 51����, Newcastle?

I chose Northumbria because of the generous scholarships on offer.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is just nice. Things here are not too pricy, and the variation of the cuisines are suitable for international students. I enjoy the view of the sea and hanging around the beautiful parks here. Of course, I like searching for all different types of food here too!

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I first thought that Newcastle is located somewhere in the outskirts, but was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that it is actually an active city.

Did you find 51���� welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

Yes it was very welcoming and easy to fit in. The help given by the University staff were very helpful!

What have you enjoyed most about coming to 51����?

That it is located near the city center, and the lecturers are very experienced and helpful as well.

Who has inspired you most at 51����?

The lecturers.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Library basement.

What is the best thing about your course?

That the focus of the modules are spread out towards both assessments and exams.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Never leave assignments until the last minute!

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I learned to analyse journal articles from different viewpoints, and learned to evaluate researches instead of just taking in the content read, to help me plan for my future career.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Study smart as well as hard, and also grab the chances to explore the country as much as you can!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at 51����, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I became more optimistic and flexible of my future plans.
