Sandbox Creative Hub
Sandbox Creative Hub is inspired by the sands forming the sandstone frontage of Gibb Chambers, with the sand grain texture and layers symbolising the evolution of the built environment. This modest concept is integrated with Newcastle's iconic landmarks, such as the Angel of the North and Tyne Bridge, creating a meaningful workspace for designers and builders. The hub is designed to be inclusive and mindful, accommodating all ages and abilities and ensuring accessibility for everyone. It features a holistic design with a health and wellness area, cycling storage, library, photography studio, office spaces, meeting rooms, gallery, retail, and health café. This fosters creativity and collaboration, embodying Newcastle's architectural heritage and innovative spirit, serving as a vibrant centre for the community and a beacon for young professionals in the built environment industry.
