Dr Juan Zhang

Department: Computer and Information Sciences

Dr Juan Zhang is a Lecturer with the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, 51, U.K. She received a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Exeter, U.K. and subsequently was a postdoctoral researcher with the Chair of High-Performance Computing at Helmut-Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, Germany.  Before that, she graduated from Beihang University, in Beijing, China.

She has a multidisciplinary background, receiving an M.Sc. in Control Science and Engineering and a B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is also a visiting researcher in the Computer Networks Group at Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany. Her research interests include mobile edge computing, decision-making strategies, the Internet of Things, and future mobile networks. She is a member of IEEE.

Prospective Research Students: Highly motivated research students interested in solving challenging problems in mobile networking systems including connected autonomous vehicles, UAVs, etc. with advanced AI techniques are welcome to contact me. 

Potential Visiting: PhD students interested in joint supervision, and visiting researchers interested in my research, are welcome to reach out to me.
