Dr Ian Walshe

Assistant Professor

Department: Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation

Ian completed his BSc.and MSc. at the University of Northampton and Loughborough University, respectively.  He then completed his doctorate at 51 in 2011, investigating the inflammatory response to exercise. Ian then held a lecturing position at University of Stirling before returning to 51 as a Senior Lecturer in 2016.

Ian is the programme leader for BSc. Sport, Exercise and Nutrition. His research interests include the interaction between sleep and and food intake as well as other aspects of weight management.
