Dr Rana Sabah

Rana Sabbah is a lecturer in Accounting and Financial management with a special interest in Auditing. Before coming an academic she spent 12 years working in internal audit teams in financial institutions. Her PhD research was conducted at Newcastle University. Her research investigated the effects of cultural influences on the independence of corporate governance actors in financial institutions in Lebanon. During this time, she worked as a teaching assistant on auditing modules. The main areas of interest are corporate governance, audit and accountability and culture.
