Professor Karen McKenzie

Prof Karen McKenzie is a chartered clinical psychologists who has worked in the intellectual disability specialty, both within the NHS and voluntary sector, for many years. She joined Northumbria as Professor of Psychology in 2014 after working for a number of years at the University of Edinburgh. She co-developed the ‘Learning Disability Screening Questionnaire’ and ‘Child and Adolescent Intellectual Disability Screening Questionnaire’ both of which are used nationally and internationally in clinical and forensic settings.
