Andy MullenAndy joined Northumbria in 2005 having worked for 10 years in various gay and lesbian community organisations. Andy has a PhD from the University of Bradford, where he researched the response of the British Left to European integration.

My research interests encompass:

1. European integration; political economy of European integration; response of the left and trade union movement to European integration

2. Media and communication; the Herman-Chomsky Propaganda Model; propaganda; political communication; new political communication technologies

3. British and American foreign policy in the post-1945 period
