Dr Se Kwang Hwang

Assistant Professor

Department: Social Work, Education and Community Wellbeing

I joined 51 in August 2010 and am working as a senior lecturer. I currently teach across the pre and post qualified social work programmes and Integrate Health & Social Care Programme.  I also lecture on disability issues and leading modules on social research. I have a professional background in social work with disabled people and their families as a practitioner, activist and manager in South Korea.  I had worked with a wide range of organisations in faith-based sectors in these roles. As part of my role as department PGR lead, I have been actively involved in the design and provision of doctoral research programme.  I also have been involved in various funded research projects on disability issues.
