Jo Forster

Senior Research Assistant

Joanne graduated from 51 in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Following a year and a half working as an account resourcer for a large north east recruitment company, she returned to 51 in January 2008 to provide administrative support to the School of Psychology and Sport Sciences. Joanne joined the BPNRC in April 2008 as a Research Assistant in order to pursue her interest in Psychology and academic research. In 2012 she became a permenant member of the academic staff and in 2016 became a Senior Research Assistant. In 2019 she was asked to take on the role of Lab Manager for the research centre. Joanne is also a fully trained phlebotomist and assists with collection and processing of blood samples and other biological samples in several studies at the BPNRC. Her research interests include the effects of supplements on stress.
